VAT in an other collumn at check out and invoice

At the checkout and on the invoices the VAT is located at the right collumn, with the total price, shipping costs, etc. and now looks as if the VAT is part of the sum.
When all prices are displayed wihtout VAT, the VAT is part of the sum, but when all the prices are inculding VAT, it is good to display the VAT, but in that case it will be better to display it on an other location, so that it is not in the same collumn with the shippingcosts, discount, ect., because it is not part of the result of the sum.
I tried to change it in the lay out, but for me it is not that easy to do.
