The problem I'm having is sort of...extensive, I guess.

My customer, the man who makes the golf clubs, doesn't like the checkout as it is right now. I like the way Hikashop works, so I'd like to keep using this cart, but I need to change some things to make it workable for the customer.

Guest Check-Out for Repeat Users
The first problem I noticed in the checkout is that if you have an email address that you've used before, you can't use it again without logging in. I am using the Guest checkout specifically so that users don't need to log in. Is there a way to either JUST have an address for billing/shipping and no login/registration at all, or is there a way that previously registered emails can be just used again?

Edit: The object here is no registration, but in my checkout back-end, there's no option for "no registration." I just need the address for billing/shipping.

One More Step for "Next"
My customer admits that he's not the most savvy person, and he doesn't like the "next" button under the email/address registration. Is there a way that I can separate the credit card and shipping onto a second page after clicking "Next" instead? He finds it confusing and tries to fill out the entire page, then looking for a "Submit Order," missing the "Next" altogether.

Thanks for the help!

Hi,
1.
Note that if you want to have a checkout without registration, you'll probably find your answer through this thread :

If you want to enable your customer to checkout without registering, you'll just have to
- Go to "Hikashop->System->Configuration->Checkout"
- Set the "Display method for registration" option to All in one page
- Set the "Registration" option to Guest

Note that the Registration / Display method for registration options are only available through an Hikashop commercial version, so YES you'll have to use a commercial version to do that :).

2.
The solution will probably be to edit your checkout workflow through "Hikashop->System->Configuration->Checkout" and set first step to only "login" and put your other checkout item to the 2nd step.

1. It seems to have worked, but can you briefly explain to me the difference in "all in one" and "switcher?"

2. Beautiful, worked wonderfully, thank you.

Hi,

All in one allow the customer to have only one way to checkout, the switcher allow them to select if they want to register or checkout as a guest.
So this configuration depends of what you need, if you want to allow registration and guest or only guest.
