Order value is not including product options?

We've set up a shipping method to offer Free shipping on orders over £50. Normally it works fine except now we've added many different options/characteristics that can selected in our listings. The cost of these options is being calculated correctly in the checkout BUT is not being included in the order value used for the shipping method or any set value discount coupons (either Hikashop or awocoupon).

Is there a way to force Hikashop to take the overall order amount including any products options when it checks to see if an order qualifies for free shipping (or a coupon)?
example url - free shipping is normally applied for all orders over £50. It works when the teapot value itself exceeds £50 (e.g., multiple quantities) but not when you add options like the tins, cups etc.

Just to clarify further:
The options work fine when added simply as options...
What we've done here was create a product option based on Characteristics/variants.
Its the variants value that are not being included in the order value calculation although the totals with options are correctly showing on checkout. See screenshot.

- The weight/dimensions/price of one of the variants of your product with price which exceed £50
- The restrictions of your free shipping method

Can you set the "Force shipping regardless of weight" option to YES through "Hikashop->System->Configuration->Checkout" and try it again ?

Thanks Mohamed. Basically you need to set an individual weight for each 'option based on Characteristics' for its price to be included in the shipping order value. The Hikashop coupons however still don't take the price of the option / characteristics into account properly even with weight set. It's not an issue though as I'm now using awocoupon instead. This applies the correct value when discount is set to overall, not specific.
