Hi I am wondering if there's is a way i can modify the Thank you for your Purchase section of the checkout process to include my custom message. I am not a coder or programmer, just a regular guy and need all the help i can get.

Basically I have modified the checkout process so that I personally have to process the payments manually at my store.

I want to change the Thank you message to something like this:

Thank you for your purchase, we will be contacting you shortly to process your order and payment....

......
..Link to other site content ....... etc

Once again, we appreciate your business.

Best regards,

xxxxxxx

Basically i am looking at adding around 2-3 paragraphs.
How do i change this? Do i place this in the after_end.php file?

Thanks.

Hi,

No need to change any code for that.
You can change the message by simply modifying the translation text with a translation override:
hikashop.com/download/languages.html#modify

I have tried that but it doesn't keep the formatting as i had wished. I also cant use links in-there as i had wished. Is there a way I can include the formatting, hyper-linked text and may be graphics? or is this too much for it?

You can use HTML in translations that's not a problem. So you should be able to do that. Note however that you can't use double quotes in translations as they are used to delimited the beginning and the end of the translation and thus you should use the simple qote instead.

An alternative is to edit the file displaying the thank you message to add your HTML directly. However, the file where to do it will depend on your payment method so I can't give precise instructions as I don't know which ones you're using.
