Getting Error when Adding to Cart

-- Joomla version -- : 3.1
-- Browser(s) name and version -- : Chrome and others
-- Error-message(debug-mod must be tuned on) -- : Error_message

SCRIPT5009: 'hikashopModifyQuantity' is undefined.

I am getting this error when I try to add a product to my cart.
Any pointers on how to troubleshoot/fix would be appreciated.

With more details about your current website, it will be complicated to tell you something.
Please provide at least a link to your store ; javascript problem are very complex and it is possible that a Javascript error from another plugin/component (creating global javascript error and broke the declaration of the function hikashopModifyQuantity).

We are using the JEvents plug-in and Hikashop tags to display the product within a JEvent event.

{product}11|cart|description|picture|pricedis3|pricetax1{/product}

This was working perfectly and today we noticed that it wasn't working anymore

Here is another page where, when you click on Add to Cart, it just goes to the home page.

We are not using JEvents on this page. It's just a standard Joomla article using the following tag to create content.

{product}2|name|cart|quantityfield|description|picture|link|pricedis3|pricetax1{/product}

Same problem, the js function 'hikashopModifyQuantity' cannot be found.

Hi,

I see that the javascript code of HikaShop is completely missing from the head of the page which explains with you get that error.
Could you please first update to HikaShop 2.3.2 and see if that fixes the problem ?

No luck. I installed the latest release on our test site and it still doesn't work.

I've been trying different options today (we are planning to go live tomorrow) but have had no option. Is there any way to check what would control the generation of that JS function?

You can use the following link to test this issue:

Note how when you click Add to Cart it goes to the home page and nothing is added to the cart. If you debug Javascript you'll see the unresolved javascript function error.

Hello Nicolas,
Has you or your team had a chance to look at this issue?
I heard in our meeting today that if we can get this working, we'll upgrade to a Professional yearly subscription, but if we can't get it fixed they'll want me to migrate to a different e-Commerce system.
I've really enjoyed working with your product so far, I hope we can get this resolved.

Thank you for the access. I was able to fix the issue in the file components/com_hikashop/views/product/view.html.php
The fix will be included in next version of HikaShop.

Thanks! I was able to verify the fix. If/when we upgrade to Professional, will this fix be overwritten?

Yes if you upgrade now, the fix will be overwritten so you will have to put it back after the upgrade ;)
For the next releases of HikaShop there will no more be this issue.
