Order Status Cancelled after succeeful PayPal purc

-- HikaShop version -- : 2.3.2
-- Joomla version -- : 3.3.1
-- PHP version -- : 5.3.24
-- Browser(s) name and version -- : Firefox 31

The order processes through Paypal and the payment is successful, after redirecting back to the Hikashop page, there is a message "Thank You for Your Purchase', however, in the back end, the order shows a status of cancelled. Is there a default setting I am missing whereby the order is defaulting to cancelled? What isnt the system getting from Paypal? why is the order showing cancelled even though the money has left paypal?
