-- HikaShop version -- : 2.4.0 essential
-- Joomla version -- : 3.3.6
-- PHP version -- : 5.3.29
-- Browser(s) name and version -- : chrome 41

I have configured the checkout with no login and guest registration.

When the email and address information form is filled out, the next button doesn't proceed to the next step but returns to the registration step with an empty email and address form.

I've tried different combinations of settings, but I can't get the checkout flow to work. Can you tell me what is wrong? Or do you need login info to have a look at it?

Hello,
If you want to enable your customers to checkout without registering, you'll just have to
- Go to "Hikashop->System->Configuration->Checkout"
- Set the "Display method for registration" option to All in one page
- Set the "Registration" option to Guest

Yes, I already set it that way. But it doesn't work.

Is there anything else that could be wrong? Or can I send in a support ticket?

Hi,

Please give us a screenshot of you settings.
Does your template support the notice/error messages ?

Because, if there is an issue when registering, there should be something displayed to inform the customer on what he has to do.

Can you give me a link to your website so that I can directly test it ?
Thanks.

I just tested it and it worked fine, the only issue that I had was a "No shipping method was found", checking the "shipping methods" section of the FAQ will probably help you : www.hikashop.com/support/faq.html#ship

That is probably because you were logged in as Super User, and Super User was already registered as a customer. So you didn't get the form for a new customer, but the one for returning customers.

The problem in de flow occurs for new customers only. Can you please test again, and delete customer Super User first.

Hi,

We cannot test your registration form. In order to access it, we need to be logged in with the user account that you provided since your website is in maintenance, and if we access it while being logged in, it doesn't ask us to register (of course).

Yes, that's what I told you.But I also suggested that there is a work around. If you delete all customers in the back office first, you can test the checkout as guest. This is the way I found out there is a problem, so you should be able to do the same.

I'm getting pretty frustrated about your support... it is very slow and not very effective.

Never mind, I figured it out myself.

The template quickstart installation had changed something in the login_form view that caused the error. I restored it to default, and the guest checkout flow works fine now.
