No cart displayed after adding a product on iPad, iPhone and more

Hi All,

Since Hikashop is not willing to help, I'm asking this in the forum.

A year ago we bought Hikashop business.
Everything works fine on a desktop computer, but........

When I go to the shop on my iPad and add a product, the cart will be emty....nothing happens.

I erased the overides......still not working
I erased the custom css......still not working
I tried ceveral other templates.....still not working

Anybody here with a suggestion to solve this problem??

Hi,

Since you also have the problem on IE, I was able to analyze the situation.
The issue is that you have some invalid HTML on your product page which leads to IE not processing the page HTML properly and because of that the form responsible for the add to cart process on the product page doesn't work properly.
The invalid HTML can come from either:
- a view override
- invalid HTML in the core views of HikaShop.
Since you say you don't have view overrides, I would recommend two things:
1. Update to the latest version of HikaShop. It contains many fixes and the HTML there is correct with the latest version, that's for sure.
2. Try to switch the "add to cart legacy" setting of the HikaShop configuration. You're currently using the old add to cart button system of HikaShop 2.x. The new system introduced with HikaShop 3 is a lot better and can work even when the form on the page is broken.

PS: we tried to help you when you sent us emails but you stopped answering us so we thought that the problem was solved.

Hi Nicolas,

At the time we dicovered the problem we had indeed contact, but the latest reply gave me the feeling you were done with it.
My mistake, sorrry.
That was also the reason why we deed not took a new subscription for the latest version.
My client did not want to pay for something that was not working well, so no update :-(

Now we use version 3.0.1
I switched the "add to cart legacy" to NO, but this is not solving the problem.
I do have some overrides but after deleting them, the problem is still the same.
I can only test on iPad and when I click the add to cart button, I will be redirected to the homepage of the site.
On android it is working very well.

Do you have any other suggestion?
I can give you a super admin login if you want.... ;-)

Hi,

Yes, the best suggestion and the first one I recommended here is to update HikaShop to the latest version.
The add to cart legacy option change is only something which I thought could circumvent the problem.
