-- Joomla version -- : 3.8.5
-- PHP version -- : 7.0.18

Hi,

I'm trying to add the company logo the customer notification emails. I created a logo of 24px height, named it 'icon-48-logo.png' and placed it in folder '/media/com_hikashop/images/icons/'.
Then I changed '<img src="{VAR:LIVE_SITE}/media/com_hikashop/images/icons/icon-48-order.png' to '...-logo.png' in both the 'order_status_notification.html.php' and the 'order_notification.html.php' file (line 16) in the '/com_hikashop/mail' folder.

While the image file shows in the html code (see attached screen shots) it doesn't display in either, the Editor nor the Preview of the emails.
The size in the Inspector shows 0x0 and the popup says "Could not load the image".
It is exactly the same when I leave it as ' ...-icon-48-order'. The email that is sent to the customer contains neither, the company logo or the order icon. The order icon is, however, displayed in the admin notification email when a purchase is made.

If I add the logo via the Editor (Inser/edit image), it shows in Preview and in the customer notification email. But, of course, this is not an acceptable solution.

Your help would be much appreciated!

Hello,

I'm not sure to understand what you want to achieved or the context but I will try to help you.
First, go to HikaShop Main Configuration, then on System dropdown => Emails :

You will see all HikaShop emails, and edit it :

here, you will be able to edit it, and keep change for all emails, I hope that this will fit your needs.
Note that if you edit from the order view edition you will have to repeat the operation...

Regards

Hi Philippe,
thank you for your prompt reply.
The thing is that in HikaShop Essential version, the emails are not clickable, I can only publish or not.

Any changes that I make to emails in 'Orders', when changing the status from 'pending' to 'confirmed', are not saved. That means each change has to be made in every individual email. I learned to change the text of the emails with Languages Overrides, but obviously that doesn't include the logo image. Here is what I'd like to achieve:

So I'm referring back to my original post and ask again for ideas why neither the HikaShop order icon, nor the logo is displayed in the emails despite the fact that they are in the html code (see attachments in the original post).

Thank you!

Hi,

If you want to edit the layout of your emails, to add your logo or other things, it requires HikaShop Business.
If you upgrade (you can do it in the menu My account>My subscriptions on our website), you'll see that you'll then be able to click on each email in System>Emails and you'll be able to modify them.
The popup display you see when you click on the email button of an order allows you to preview the email and easily add a sentence to the customer for his order. It's not meant to be saved in the email. The changes that you want to be permanent have to be done in System>Emails.
