Hi,
i am using hikashop on my website, and have the following problem:
when i go to customer accout there are a few details like name, username, registerdate and last visit date.
on the right side, there is a button "edit profile", and that button does not work! does not work means, it does not do anything, when i click the button.
i would like to change the password ... how can i make that button work? is there any other way to change password for the customer in the frontend?
thanks.

Hi,

HikaShop has no profile edition page.
HikaShop has a user control panel, and on that user control panel, there is a link to access the profile edition page of Joomla.
On that page, the customer can change some of the information based on what you allowed in the settings of Joomla.

However, to change the password, the best is to create a link to the password reset page of Joomla:
docs.joomla.org/Help38:Menus_Menu_Item_User_Password_Reset

Hi Nicolas,
thanks for your reply.
you write, the hikashop user control panel has a link to access the profile edition page of joomla.
that link is the "edit profile" button, right?
but that button does not work ...
do i need to have a separate plugin for user control?
in the joomla settings, i allowed the user to change the password, but there is nothing like that shown in the frontend.
hope you could help me out? thanks

Hello,

I'm sorry but it is not possible to understand what you're talking about.
Unfortunately "the button do not work" do not provide any useful information to determine what is the issue.
Do you have an incorrect link ? If so it would be useful to provide that link so we can understand what's wrong, no ?
Otherwise, it would be great to explain what "that button does not work" really means.
