Coupon Nightmare

-- HikaShop version -- : 3.2

HI
I'm having a complete nightmare,

I have set up 2 coupons,
1 - if you buy 3 items you get money off
2 - if you buy 6 items you get more money off

6 items coupon overides the previous coupon, well it did on my test site.

Problem:
If I add 3 items to my shopping cart, the 3 coupon shows up- good
if I delete them and add just 2 different items, the coupon remains there,
if I delete those 2 items and change my mind to buy something else, another 2 items, I get the 6 coupon.

even if this is just my browsers holding the information I can get all the way to the checkout, Ive had to take my site offline

please help ...

Hello,

Seeing that your first coupon is not an auto-loaded coupon, I don't understand how that coupon can be added into the cart.
And if the coupon have a "min number of products" and the cart do not have enough products, the algorithm is made to remove the coupon from the cart.
You should add the "coupon" block near your cart so you will be able to see easily which coupon code is applied to the cart.

If you do not want that your coupon affect your store ; you can simply put an ACL (access level) on them so only your super-admin user will be affected by them.
(so no need to put your website offline)

Afterwards ; when you create a ticket in our forum, please fill the different fields regarding your website.
Knowing your HikaShop version number is very important for the support team so it can know what code you're using, what patch you have, or not.

but as you see from my screenshots - it is happening.

it only happened since I made the upgrade from 2.6.4 to 3.1.1
so now I have recalled the previous version 2.6.4 on my live site and copied the error site - 3.1.1 to a test server.

Hello,

I try to reproduce your issue by following your configuration and on my side, everything seems to work well.
I join you my configuration, the main difference is that all my coupons have the Auto load in cart if possible
option to Yes.

With these settings, coupons will works as you required.

Can you try this, see if that solve your issue ?

thank you for your reply and screenshots,
I had those settings earlier.

I have:
1 - recalled my previous version of my site. Business 2.6.4
2 - I copied it to a test server, and I provide access to you
3 - I have made a screencast video (approx 1 1/2 minute to show you exactly what is happening)

the login and video link information is now emailed via online form for you to see it.

I cannot reproduce the initial problem you're talking about in your first message on any of your links:

So as far as I can see it's not a problem of update of HikaShop, but of your coupons not being configured properly on the website

So in that case, I would recommend to make sure that you configure the coupons properly there. Mainly having the "auto load coupon in cart" setting activated.

ok, I have made a screen cast video which shows what is happening, did you watch that ?
it's the best I can do to show you the problem.

"your coupons not being configured properly" - I can only configure them 2 ways "auto or manual"
and I have given you screenshots of that, they are configured properly.

- that's because I reverted back to a previous version to see if it was the update.

nicolas, this is really happening, the coupon is activating on 2 items in the cart, yet I have it set to 3.
it happens BOTH when the coupon is set to auto, and when it is manually entered.

please watch the video you will see it. I need some help desperately.

Hi,

I of course watched the video but I didn't had the behavior you talked about, and that I saw in the video, on either links you gave.

If you revert back to HikaShop 2.6.4 on both links, then we can't look at the issue on any of them since apparently it's only happening with HikaShop 3. Please provide a link to a website where you currently have the problem (so update it to HikaShop 3 if necessary).

however, it was not just the update, which is why I have left 2.6.4 on both,
the live site has no coupon anymore, I cannot risk that.

the test site gives me the error every time, in chrome, ie, and firefox.
I don't know what I should do.

Ive just tested it again on a different machine and got this -
2 items with the discount?

Ive removed caching, Ive cleared the browser history, Ive tried everything but I'm getting a discount on 2 items.



please advise

Hi
I have hired an independent developer to look at why this has happened, as you are unable to see the problem at your end.
The reason I returned to 2.6.4 is because in the Hikashop update 3+ you completely changed frontend css amongst other things and
that wiped out my template www.icetheme.com/themes/it-trendyshop

"IT_Trendyshop does not support the latest release of Hikashop V.3.x."

Luckily enough you sent an email advertising CART2CART, which may be a great solution should I have to switch out.
without any more investigation on your part, could you possibly advise me how a coupon is stored once it's applied ?
and how it should be automatically removed ? that's the area that has been compromised in my build.

Thanks to your test site I was only able to test the HikaShop 2.6.4, if you update it to the 3.2 as Nicolas ask for it maybe we were able to see the root issue.
To help you, you have to help us.
Be consistent will make issue solving more easy, when we ask something in order to progress on this subject if you don't follow us, I m'afraid that nobody can help you.
