Smart Search - No Results on product code search

-- HikaShop version -- : 5.0.3
-- Joomla version -- : 5.0.2
-- PHP version -- : 8.2.7
-- Browser(s) name and version -- : All browsers
-- Error-message(debug-mod must be tuned on) -- : No error message

We've configured the Hikashop product search smart search plugin to search for product_name, product_description, and product_code.

However, when we search for a product code no results are returned.

We've narrowed down the issue to variant product codes. Does Hikashop support variants in smart search results yet?

Hi,

Note that the Smart Search system is not a live search, like the old search in old versions of Joomla.
The data needs to be pre indexed.
So if you add new columns in the plugin, you need to reindex the data. If you go to the Smart Search component, you'll find a button to launch the indexation.

Variants should be indexed as well as products with the current version of the plugin.
