While serials can be "refresh", the subscription is created in the same time than the order.
You have ways to create manually subscriptions in the backend.
Afterwards, yes you can write a custom plugin to add a special button and perform actions like the "refresh" button is doing ; but I'm afraid that it would require important quantity of code to handle all special cases.

Yes I'm talking about the "refresh association" button.
But I explained that this button is just for serials, it cannot (and won't) work with subscription.

That's why, I added (for your second question) :

The development of a new custom plugin would do something "like" the refresh association button, it won't do the same thing but the idea beneath the code would be similar. It means that you can use part of the code as starting point for a new custom plugin.
