Hi.

I'm trying to update the prices of variants via CSV

product_id product_parent_id product_code product_published product_type price_value price_currency_id price_min_quantity
70 0 FT7257 1 variant 18.75|15|14.0625 GBP|GBP|GBP 0|7|14

So there are 3 different price proints. This works fine for the master product, but the variants are missed. Is there a way to make that work please?

See attached example.

Many thanks.

Hi,

Well, if you want to change the prices of variants, you'll need one row for each variant too in your CSV, and you'll need also one column for each characteristic to specify the value for each variant and the main product's default values.
However, since all your variants have the same price, why have the price in the variants and not only in the main product ?
I would rather recommend you leave your CSV like this and just remove the prices of the variants. That will be easier to manage in the future.

HI Nicolas,

The latest CSV attached (which also does NOT work)

1 Has a row for each variant.
2 The variants have different prices. There are 5 different price points each have different prices over 7+ and 14+ of quantity.
3 Before the CSV was uploaded neither the main product or the variants had price points of buying 7+ or 14 + products.
4 After uploading only the main product picks up the different price points. The Variants still remain the same with no different prices or price points.

This STILL doesn't work. No matter what I do I cannot get the Variants to have different price points for buying different quantities. I have a spreadsheet with 35000 products and variants to update. But just doing 1 doesn't work.

Do you have any other suggestions please?

Hi,

There was no attachment in your message.
So I can't check what you did.
You probably did something wrong in your CSV file, like for example not adding one column for each charateristic since you don't mention it in your last 2 messages.

The method I proposed in my previous message will work just fine if the CSV is correct.

I found the issue.

When exporting a LOT of products the product_parent_id that should include the product code of the main product dissapears.

I cansend you credentials so you can test this if you like. Wen exporting more than 100 products (each product has about 10 variants) then the product_parent_id field is blank for the variants.

I indeed don't know of such bug and can't reproduce it on my end.
So I would indeed need a backend access and precise instructions to reproduce the issue.
And potentially a FTP access to debug the situation if it's indeed a bug.
You can send that via our contact form:

Hi,

Neither of them had the URL. Only the new one you sent had it.
However, the user account your provided doesn't allow me to access your backend.
I got the error "Username and password do not match or you do not have an account yet.".
Could you please double check the credentials and make sure they are valid ?
