Login or create new address in GUEST mode

I think the problem at ( www.hikashop.com/forum/install-update/86...checkout.html#142010 ) is fixed. The email existed in the joomla user database.

NEW PROBLEM: I enter the address information as guest, click next, and get the following:



HELP!

Ok so we'll continue through this thread, As I told you through your old thread :

I just tested it through your website and I'm directly facing a "Please create or select an address", did you :
- Done some modifications through your checkout workflow ? can you show me some screenshots of how you configured your "Hikashop->System->Configuration->Checkout"
- Done some modifications through some file of the address/checkout view of your front-end template through the page "Hikashop->Display->Views".

Yes, that is exactly what I am getting too.

To the best of my knowledge, I have done no modification to the address/checkout view.

Good morning. While waiting, I tried changing it to Simplified Registration to see if the additional address popup would go away. It did not. I've changed it back to Guest.

I appreciate any help. Our store has been down for 5 days now, and it is how we process memberships for our organization.

I don't get it, first the issue was about the screenshot you posted and now it's about a popup?
I tried on your site and there is indeed a popup after guest chcekout but it's normal, you have to specify an order to continue.
If you don't want it, just remove the address step from your checkout workflow.

I appreciate your response. Thank you. Let me clarify what is going on.

As it stands RIGHT NOW, I've removed Address from the checkout process, and we ARE able to process a transaction. But the address information is not collected, which is needed when we have a product that needs to be shipped. We can grab the address out of authorize.net, but that is another step.

When I had Address in the checkout process, whether I was in a Registration OR Guest mode, the process went as follows:

  • Put item in to cart.
  • Click checkout.
  • Presented with a screen where user enters email, address, etc. (Of course in one it is the guest screen, and in the other it is the registration screen. The same next steps happen either way.)
  • Click Next.
  • The screen moves forward, and the "Additional Address" popup appears.
  • User completes the information in the "Additional Address" popup and clicks OK in that window.
  • The "Additional Address" popup continues to appear, just refreshing the information.
  • If the user closes out the popup, they return to the screen that says they need to enter an additional address.
  • One does not seem able to get past this point.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I tried again and when I register I give an address which is saved.
So I still don't see where is the problem. If the issue is when the address step is in the workflow, please put it back so i can try and see.

A clarification -- with the Address removed from the checkout process, although the address is entered, it does not seem to be saved anywhere. I've looked at hikashop_address, hikashop_users, and our joomla users table. The address is not showing up in any of those, and it is not showing up on the confirmation email that is sent. If the address would save and also show up in the email, I would be happy with this format.

Regarding when the Address field is put in, I have just added it back. Again, when it is there the problem is as follows:

So this sounds more like a saving issue actually.
Could you try to enable the debug mode in joomla's configuration and set the error reporting to maximum.
It should give you an error message when you save the address (I think).
You can also update to our last version (2.3.0), it mights sole certain issues.

There it is! I got the error below. So it seems that my custom field is not in the database table. I will put that in and test again. Thank you!!!!
