Coupon: Access Level 'Public' not working??

Website link: www.music.org/index.php?option=com_hikas...4-edition&Itemid=179

For each product, we have set up separate prices for our members (registered users, always lower in price) and everyone else (public) by choosing custom access levels. This works great.

Now, we want to offer a coupon to everyone EXCEPT our members (registered), since they already receive a discounted price. To do this, I set up a coupon and set the access level to 'custom' and 'public'. (see attachment).

But when I go to the site and don't log in (public), this coupon doesn't work. I enter the code, the page refreshes, and there is no price change. As soon as I set the access level back to 'all', the coupon will work. But we don't want to offer the coupon to registered users.

To prevent registered users from using this coupon, I have set the minimum order value. But this is not the ideal solution.

Can you explain if I am doing something wrong?

Hi,

We don't see it in the screenshot, but normally, below the "public" group, there should be a "guest" group. I would recommend to check the checkbox of that user group too as anonymous users are actually in the guest group, not the public group.

Hi,

I added a guest group as a child of public. I changed the user options to use guest as the user type that is not logged in (see attachment 1). I changed the discount custom settings to include 'guest' (see attachment 2).

It did not fix the problem. Still when I try to add the code, the page refreshes but it doesn't subtract the discount amount from the total due.

Since in my user manager 'options' settings, public was the selected group for not logged in users before I changed it to 'guest', shouldn't that have worked anyway?

Hi,

Can you turn on the "debug mode" and "error reporting" options of the Joomla configuration and try to add the coupon code on the checkout again ?
At that point, do you get any error message ?
If not, could you copy all the MySQL queries log at the bottom of the page and provide them to us ?
