hi, I have an urgent question. I am considering to install hikashop for a site. but I realized that there is the possibility to store their products with sales of steps bound. I'll explain.. I have to implement an e-commerce for a seller of food products. these foods are sold individually but not in packs. so if the product bundle consists of 5 units, I have to choose 5 products at a time, and every step I take the trolley shall be increased by 5. I hope I have explained. Sorry for the bad English, I'm Italian!

greetings
fabio

Hi,

It's possible.
There are two ways to go about it.
1. You hide the quantity field ("Display the quantity field on the product page" option turned off in the config) and create a characteristic ( www.hikashop.com/support/support/documen...html#characteristics ) with one value per step and you add that characteristic to your products and enter the price for each variant/step via the 'manage variants' area.

2. You use the standard quantity system, but you override the display of the input in order to display it as a dropdown:

thanks for the reply. I have not yet understood. characteristics can create a list of options (if the product has packs of 6 pieces, should I create a drop down menu with 6 12 18 24 32 etc. ....) correct?

but you can not do that every time I click on the add product passage which is 6 pieces at a time?

virtuemart option in this range is called the amount of purchase. because I do not want to use virtuemart but hikashop so I wanted to know if it was feasible.

thanks

Yes, you can create a dropdown with the different values you want in it for the quantity selection by using a characteristic with one value of the characteristic per choice of the dropdown.

:( :(
hello, I tried in every way to create features and variations but it does not work. I need a product, at the click of the mouse on "add product" increases the value for the number that I decide. in the sense that if a product is in boxes of 6 pieces, with each click of the products rise to 6 12 18 24 etc. .... if you can not do it (as in virtuemart) should abandon hikashop :-(

Hi,

In HikaShop, you can override the "quantity input box" in order to display a dropdown instead.
There are several threads which already talked about this modification and which use the "minimum quantity per order" and "maximum quantity per order" option to create the "steps" of the values.

But with HikaShop 2.3.1 which will be release very soon (you can see the change log), we introduce new options and new design for this "quantity". It will be now possible to choose the design for the "quantity input" per product.
In the new designs we introduced, there is a dropdown design, which will work in the way you are looking for.
