-- url of the page with the problem -- :
-- HikaShop version -- : 2.3.1
-- Joomla version -- : 2.5.20
-- PHP version -- : 5.4

Upgraded from 2.1 to 2.3.1 Hikashop, and now the "Add to Cart" buttons don't do anything.
Also, clicking the product does nothing. It should go to Details page.
Please help. This is a major problem. The reason I upgraded was because I was getting an error that the max connections were being made to my database. Which meant that there was a hack somewhere. I upgraded everything else, and was still getting the same error. Finally took the plunge and upgraded Hikashop and the error stopped. However, now I have a shopping cart that isn't working!!!!

Ok. I reinstalled from Akeeba Backup. The site is back to working, but I keep getting the error: Database connection error (2): Could not connect to MySQL, which my dedicated server host assures me is because I have reached the max connections to MySQL database. They say it is being hacked. :(

So, I really need to get your component upgraded to plug this security hole, but I need to do it in a way that keeps my cart working. NEED HELP ASAP!

Hi,

HikaShop doesn't have any known security issue so we can't fix what's not broken. If you're getting hacked, it could come from any extension on your website, or even a hole in Joomla itself. Also, the error message you provided doesn't indicate that there is a security issue. This indicates that there is a DDOS attack on your website ( en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Denial-of-service_attack ). In short, a lot of computers are automatically trying to access your website/server in order to flood it so that it can't function properly. The can happen regardless of use HikaShop or even Joomla. The solutions to such attacks are numerous and can go from setting up firewall rules, or installing a Firewall extension on your website like RS Firewall or AdminTools Pro, to increasing the capacity of the server, or changing server/host/IP address etc, but are not linked to HikaShop, so we cannot help you in that case.
