Update to Billing Address also updates Shipping

Changes to the customer Billing address that are made during the Checkout process are overwriting the Shipping address as well.

So the result is that we are not able to see separate Billing and Shipping addresses. Each customer only has one address so this is a problem as the customer believes they have been updated and could result in delivery to the wrong address.

Did you applied some code customization so that your customers will only have 1 address ? Because setting the "Address selector" option to "Dropdown list" will probably do the job.

Thank you for the quick response.

I don't think we have any customisations for the addresses.

I think I may have misunderstood how things work with addresses.

If you edit "Billing" address, then this will also change the "Shipping" address as there is only one address for the customer.

You have to create a New address so that you can choose from the multiple addresses.

Is my understanding correct now? Thanks for helping me out.
