Site hacked...need recovery help

Our site was hacked....

Joomla needed to be reinstalled, and our security expert recommends NOT restoring from a backup.

Database is good...how do/can we restore existing Hikashop to new install?

Hi,

You can just install the same HikaShop version that was previous installed (using the install package you got)
After that, you will be able to copy the database content from the backup.

But if you have some css override, some view overrides and upload files.
You should check the files and restore some.
Images : media/com_hikashop/upload/
CSS : media/com_hikashop/css/
Views : templates/your_frontend_template/html/com_hikashop/
