-- HikaShop version -- : 2.3.3

I am using yootheme widget kit, I have selected for a slideshow module only to appear on the home page, however it still tries to show it on the product page of Hikashop, but it just shows a ? in a blue box, is this a Hikashop issue or a gimbal issue, or a template issue?

Widgetkit loads its code on every page of your website, even if you are only using it on the homepage. We've run into all kinds of conflicts with Widgetkit and various Joomla extensions and templates. After running into this various times, we now use custom code to stop Widgetkit from running on pages where it's not needed, rather than have to deal with all the conflicts it can cause. I recommend you do that rather than try to troubleshoot the mystery problems it can cause.

Definitely have a love/hate relationship with Widgetkit. It looks great on the frontend but is not as well thought out as it should be development-wise.

Hi,

It's a problem of the way you configured your website.
You configured a hikashop category listing menu item to be your default menu item (the homepage) and you display your module on that menu item.
But when you click on a link of the menu item (a category or a product), you still are on the same menu item and thus its normal that you see the module on these pages too.
What you want to do for example is this:
create a joomla article and add a category listing module on the article and create a new menu item to display that article as the homepage.
in the options of your slideshow module set it to display only on that menu item.
That way, when you click on a link of the category listing module of the frontpage, it will direct you to another menu item of the website and the slideshow module won't display.

Hi,

In the "menu" option of your module, you need to select a HikaShop categories listing menu item and it will then work fine.
The homepage categories listing menu item that you had before for example could be used for that if you still have it.
