Free Shipping coupon code - any progress?

Hello - i have reviewed the discussions in the fora about the ability to add in a coupon to cover free shipping. I can see how to do this easily if the prices or weights for products are consistent, but my products have different prices and different weights. Thus, the amount of shipping for each order will differ.

I am hoping that you have come up with a simple method of offering a free shipping discount that I can put in a discount code or coupon that will adjust the shipping price to zero.

Any progress on this one? Thanks for your consideration.

Hello Scott,
You'll be able to do it by using a coupon which will have the value of your shipping price, so :
1. If you have a fix shipping prices, you'll be able to do that by creating a coupon and by setting :
- The Minimum/Maximum order value options as you have set the Maximum/minimum Price options of your shipping configuration page
- The Auto load in cart if possible (commercial editions of HikaShop) to YES
2. Else, you'll be able to do that by using this Joomla extension .

Yes, as I mentioned, I do not have a fixed shipping price (see my initial query: "the amount of shipping for each order will differ").

And, I was hoping that you folks would have addressed this issue, given that some posts from a couple of years ago said it was on the to do list. I'd rather not spend $60 on an extension just for this one thing. That would negate the added sales that I might hope to get from such a coupon.

So, is it still on the todo list to have this built into Hikashop at some point?
