Same Shipping Address Checkbox

Please could you share your explanation why the Same Shipping Address checkbox only appears for "popup" Address Selector? More specifically, if I want to modify the view to have it appear for, say, the "List" Address Selector, will there be untoward implications that you can foresee?

Note that the "Use the same address as for billing" checkbox will display regarding the value of the "Show shipping 'same address' checkbox" option via "Hikashop->System->Configuration->Checkout" .
