Hi,

Thanks for the report.
We just update the HikaShop 2.4.0 package with the fix so it will be compatible with PHP 5.0 - 5.2
You can re-download the HikaShop package.

The previous code was using "static", which is for PHP 5.3 and newer.
CF: php.net/manual/en/language.oop5.late-static-bindings.php

Regards,

PS : I see you also send an email though the contact form ; so we won't double reply for the same message/issue.

I don't understand why are you updating the package without moving the version number? How is anybody with similar or different for that matter suppose to know there is a difference in the package if you don't change the version number?

Hi,

Because you generally don't look at the full version number which is updating each time we create a new package.

For good quality control you would need to identify a version change. Even if you do it with a,b, or c at the end of the version. That helps the user see that there is an update that could resolve their issue. So if i download 2.4.0 and you make a change to it 12 hours later without changing the version number how would i know that you updated the package? That would help than searching on the forums just to find out you guys made a change that i could have figured out myself by looking at the new version. I guess we need to update every 12 hours incase you made updates. That is poor version/quality control. Not trying to be an a hole but i think you know that i am right.

Going forward will you guys change the version to show update changes or will it stay the same?
