No vote yet????

I have created a dummy comment with 5 stars.

Yet, when it's published, there's a text next to the 5 stars that says "NO VOTE YET."

Why is it saying that if there is a vote on my comment and how can I fix that?

The "no vote yet" means that there was not useful votes done for this comment.
We potentially have to edit that translation, any suggestion is welcome

What is the purpose for indicating "no votes yet" Can that text string just be deleted? How can I do it?

I think there's a glitch somewhere.

Here are 3 comments I have put on a product.

The first one (Carol) is not logged in
The second one (Besteder) is a registered user and logged in
The last one (Janie) is not logged in

This snaptshot was taken while logged out and as a guest on the site.

Notice the first and last ones do NOT have those up/down icons to indicate if the comment was helpful or not...only the one that was posted when the user was logged in.

Why don't all of them have the option to rate the comment?

How to fix it so that whether logged in or not....the option is there to rate the comment.

Hi,

Yes that can be deleted through a simple language override on the key "HIKASHOP_NO_USEFUL":

And the useful functionality is here to allow users to say if a comment is useful for them about the product.
If that helped us making their choice to buy the product or not.

And you can too disable the option "Enable useful rating for each comment" in Configuration > Features > Votes.

There is no bug, so nothing to fix
All the comments have been passed from the same place, so the same IP address.
If the comment is from a guest user, we store the IP address to restrict the useful comment feature.
That's why you don't see the hands for the guest comments, and you see them nowhere when registered, cause we can't pass a useful vote on our own comments.
