Currency Switcher NOT showing on all pages

-- url of the page with the problem -- : 174.36.237.26/~best2/index.php/hikashop-...r-categories-listing
-- HikaShop version -- : 2.4.0
-- Joomla version -- : 3.4

I only want the currency switcher to show up in my webstore on all the pages (category, product listing, cart, checkout)

The only way I can do that is if I have EVERY page in my website selected as an option.

When I tell the module to only show the currency switcher on the Hikashop page items...then it doesn't display.

When I change it back to show on every page, it shows again.

I'm doing everything right in the module...

As a matter of fact, it does that also for the mini cart. I have to have it show on ALL pages otherwise, it won't show in the cart or checkout at all.

Hi,

HikaShop takes no part in that role.
It's Joomla which will display the module in its position based on what menu items you select there.
So if you don't see a module, be it a HikaShop switcher module or not) on a page of the website, it means that you didn't select the menu item of that page in the menu assignment tab of the module.
So the only logical conclusion here is that your cart and checkout pages actually use other menu items than the ones you selected in the modules.
For the checkout, it's easy, there is a "force a menu on checkout" setting of the HikaShop configuration where you can tell the system which menu item to use for the checkout.

When I uploaded Hikashop to my site...these menu items automatically showed up in my Menu Manager as Hikashop Default menus.

So I assumed that they were linking to where they were supposed to.

Are you saying that those that displayed automatically...and are those that are listed in my Module are not accurate and I need to somehow change them to point to the right place????

Sorry, I'm confused.

Pam

OK. I made the force to a new menu item I created.

Looks like those created automatically when Hikashop is installed don't actually do anything.

Thanks

Hi,

Joomla is managing the modules and display them when you are seeing a page in the according menu.
If you do not see the currency switcher module ; it means that you are not seeing a page from the menus you selected.
The default menu that HikaShop create during the installation are "hidden menus" ; it means that you can use them if required (to have something working fast) but it is possible to not use them.

That's why you have to check which menus are using (regarding the url) and display your modules according to that.

Yep, it makes sense....and now that I've created a new menu.... I can see it on all pages in the checkout!

Thank you so much
