Not a question, just comment.
Something that frustrates me about Hikashop is the relatively loose integration with Joomla and departures from the Joomla way of doing things. One example is the lack of tool tips for back end administration. Yes, the help system is very good as you can get to the appropriate documentation fairly easily, and at least there is extensive documentation for Hikashop which can't be said for a lot of components, but if you just want a quick explanation of a function a tool tip would save a lot of time.
The other real irritation is the way Hikashop admin screens are an extra click away from Joomla. For example I am currently creating Joomla menu items that link to Hikashop categories. I won't describe the whole process as anyone who has done it will understand, but you have to create the menu item in Joomla, then save it before you can edit the Hikashop options, so after saving the Joomla menu item you have to click on menu options then Hikashop options (two clicks instead of one) then when you've set your Hikashop options and close and save you find yourself in a list of Hikashop menu items, not the Joomla menu editor where you started from so create another menu item you have to navigate back to the Joomla menu editor.
All seemingly little things but when you are doing it all day it really slows you down and becomes a major irritation.
I hope you can take this feedback on board for the future,
Kind regards,
Ian
