Hello - I have checked the forums and found similar but not exactly the same issue discussed, so I decided to try a new thread.

The USPS plug-in appears to be working correctly for me now. Thank you all for your work on this. Even so, I could never figure out why the prices it returned did not seem to be the same as the prices I was paying when using stamps.com. They were close, but always off by varying amounts. Perhaps this was obvious to others, but I just realized that when using stamps.com (or other means of paying for postage online), I get a discount when shipping certain classes of mail (e.g., priority and priority international).

The USPS plug-in correctly returns the regular shipping price based on the dimensions and weight that I have entered for the products. But, when I actually print my labels, I pay the discounted rate because I'm purchasing the postage online. (The price that is displayed is the one that I would pay if I physically walked into a post office to ship my products.)

I have not found any way to get the hikashop program to display these discounted prices from the USPS plugin rather than the full prices. If it possible to get this added as an option, so those of us who pay for postage online can display the lesser cost, and those who pay for postage at the post office can display the regular cost? (This is particularly important for international shipping, where the difference can be notable.)

Thank you for your thoughts on this.

Scott

Hello Scott,

The USPS shipping plugin is only displaying the rates that are returned from the USPS platform, I you want your discounted rates to be displayed, we will have to find out if :
- The USPS platform can calculate and return it for you (which I don't think will be possible)
- Find a way to manually calculate it, and then directly change the rates through the USPS shipping plugin.

Okay. Thanks. I'll contact USPS and see if I can learn if there is a way to make the discounted prices available. It may just be a percentage, which i can then adjust by.
Thx
