How to display user detail "Title *" as an option?

-- Joomla version -- : 3.4.1
-- PHP version -- : 5.4.41

Hello,

I am looking for the way to display the user information "Title" in the menu dropdown (custom field "address_title"). At the moment it is by default on the first value "Mr" (or the one changed in the back end > Display > Custom Fields. But there is no display of the default selected option like for "Country" : "Please make a selection from the list"

And when the label/span are hidden, and displayed inside the menu option/input field, see screen shot attached.




Is there a way to have the name of the label/menu in the menu itself as the default selected (but no valid) option?

Hi,

Yes. Enter a value with an empty value and the title "Title *".

The placeholder setting of your fields will allow you to enter text that will be visible in the input textbox so you can do it like that and then simply hide the normal title with CSS.

Merci beaucoup !

I though I tired this before, but the default value "Title *" could be selected: but I put the value also in it.
When I did it again, this time with an empty value and the title "Title *", it worked as expected. Great stuff, thanks!
