Administrator receives Account Details(activation)

-- HikaShop version -- : 2.4.0
-- Joomla version -- : 3.4.2

Hi,

For a strange reason, I as an administrator receive the email about new account details. It's not the email which says "a new user has registrered", but its the email with the details from the customer and also his password, and a activation link.

Usually only the customer receives that email. I dont want to see all the passwords of the customer.

What did i do wrong?

Hi,

One way I could see this happening would be that you edited the "user account" email via the menu System>Emails and entered your email address in the CC or BCC fields of the email. So please check on that.

Dear Nicolas,

When I go to system->emails, i don't see any adjustments made to the user account email. It should show some recycle bins next to it when it's edited right?

Hi,

Not necessarily. You can delete the overrides and still have something in the BCC or CC fields. So edit the email and check the fields.
Also, could you provide a screenshot of one of the emails received by the admin so that we can see it ? It might actually be the user account admin notification which is sent to the admin after a new registration if you activated the admin notification setting of the Joomla user manager.

Sorry, but I don't see where i can fill in the cc or bcc fiels in system->emails -> user account ( i added screenshot2.jpg to know if we talke about the same thing here)

As asked, i provided a screenshot with the email I received.

Hi,

When you edit the email, you have "sender information" tab at the top of the form and if you click on it you'll see the CC and BCC fields.

Dear Nicolas,

The CC & BCC fields are empty on "user account" tab.

"Reply to adress" is not empty, but that shouldn't be the problem right?

I check all other email's, all those CC and BCC fields are empty.



Have you got another suggestion what could be the problem?

Hi,

I don't have another idea within HikaShop.
It could be a third party plugin. It could be the email server which would be configured like that.
I don't see anything else.

Dear Nicolas,

I hardly use any other 3rd party plugin's, other than Chronoforms.

In Joomla, I have set new user notification to administrator off, perhaps this will help. Let's see what happens, if you have any suggestions left i would like to hear them.

Sorry to bother you again.

Besides the user activation email, I also receive the order in my email. (confirmation email to customer).

I doubt if it is a joomla problem, I think it is in Hikashop.

I know that you dont have a solution, but I just wanted to inform you.

Hi,

Are you talking about the user order notification or the administrator one ?
To see the difference between the email you can just check the color of the image header.
When the customer order notification are blue ; the admin emails are black.

It is the user notification, it's in blue.

I can see in the email it was adressed by email of the customer.

Hi,

No one else has that problem so it has to be something on your end.
Either some modification of the code of HikaShop sending the emails, of the joomla library used to send the emails, or of the emails themselves, or a plugin modifying the email address of the receiver when the email gets sent, or your email server configured in a wrong way.
