Hello,

Been playing around with the custom product filters, but I have one small problem that I'm not sure how to change. I would like to have the filter search to be displayed in a module on the left sidebar. I have created a module and done this and that seems to be working. However the same filter search is being displayed on top of all the product listings/category pages. I wish to remove the one displaying over the product listings and just have the one on the sidebar displayed.

Hoping you can help sort this out for me. I've attached a screenshot to show you what I'm talking about.

Thanks for your time and help!

Cheers

Hi,

Simply turn the filters above listings off in the configuration of listings in the Joomla menu items -> HikaShop options -> Product features display by setting the option "Filters" to "No".

Need help with customisations of layouts, style or other site development? PM me!
(Don't forget to turn on "E-mail notification of new messages" )

Thanks for your response! Went through and changed all of the option on the menu items to "No" but that did not have any affect. All of the pages are still displaying as they were. Added another screenshot so you can see how I have the options set.

Hi,

Are you editing the settings of the menus with the ids "410" and "416" ?
I can see that the modules "210" and "200" are used for the product listing part, so I think that you should see the configuration of your menus in order to only have a product listing menu and not a category listing one.

The modules with the ids "210" and "200" are using a menu to display the products, so this is potentially this menu settings that needs to be edited.

Hello and thanks for your response.

Almost there. Editing the options on the modules with the 200 & 210 ID's did the trick for most of the pages, but the filter search is still appearing on a couple of the listing pages. I have edited all of the menu items pertaining to category listings to not show the filters, but for some are still not affected. For instance from the main dropdown menu under "shop" the pages; extracts, sativa, indica and hybrid (the last three are sub items of "flowers") still show the filter search above the products. If I go to any of those pages via the sidebar menu, they the filter search does not appear.

Hi,

On the Extracts menu, it's the menu item with the id 413 which is used.
So you need to edit that menu item via the Joomla menu manager and turn off the "show filters" setting of the "products listing" tab there.
It's basically the same for all the menu item of the type categories/products listing.
Just make sure that the "show filters" setting for each one is turned off and save its settings and it should work.

That's what I'm saying. I have the product display settings for menu item 413 and all of the other category listing menu items set not to display the filters or custom fields. (See attached screenshot from menu item 413)

They are all have the correct settings, yet I am still getting the filters displayed on those pages....

Hi,

As Nicolas said, in the main configuration of HikaShop:

turn off the "show filters" setting of the "products listing" tab

If that doesn't help, then for the menus Indica, Sativa, Hybrid, Extracts, Edibles you have to respectively edit the modules with the ids: 244, 243, 242, 202, 201

Ah! Didn't see that part in Nicholas' response, but changing the filter option in the hikashop configurations did the trick! Didn't realize that option was there. Thank you for your help and patience!!!!

Cheers & Happy Holidays!
