Updating HikaShop

-- HikaShop version -- : 2.6.0
-- Joomla version -- : 3.4.8
-- PHP version -- : 5.4.45
-- Browser(s) name and version -- : Firefox
-- Error-message(debug-mod must be tuned on) -- : please configure payment methods.

I am to the next step in my update saga to the latest HikaShop.
Now when I try to check out, I get to the payment and I get an error: please configure payment methods. I already had three payment methods set up in the old store and I just set up one more but I still get the error.
Please help.

Is it possible the payment plugins have to be re-set because of the migration?

Hi,

Then please provide a precise step by step to reproduce the issue because I don't have it.
And usually, it's just a problem with your payment methods not configured properly. So if you check each point of the FAQ on that issue here:

you should find the root of the problem.

I may have found something. In the new Hikashop, when I go to "System/Plugins" the screen shows no plugins. When I compare this to the old hikashop setup, there is no "system / Plugin to select. Do I need to install these plugings in this new screen?
Please respond ASAP.

I don’t understand:

Under Joomla’s “Extensions / Plugins” These three plugins are listed, configured and published:
HikaShop check payment plugin
HikaShop Collect on delivery payment plugin
HikaShop Western Union payment plugin

Under HikaShop “System / Configuration / Plugins” there are 39 plugins listed but none of the three listed above.

Under HikaShop “System / Payment Methods” all three plugins are listed and published.

Under HikaShop “system / Plugins” no plugins are listed on this page. When I click on new, I get a list of 22 plugins. None of which are the three I have set up.

At this point I am totally lost. I can no longer see the logic here. I really need your help. This site has been live for about a week now and the client cannot take orders. She is mad and I am embarrassed. Please help.

More info:

Dashboard / Plugins - Only shipping plugins show up. When I click "New", only additional shipping plugins are shown. No payment plugins are offered.

I hope you weekend went well.

Here it is. Step by step:
Go to compuchild.com
Login (you have id and password already)
click 'Directors / Store'
With an empty cart select 'Classroom Supplies'
Click 'Big Track $67 (First item)
Add item to cart
Click 'View Cart / Check out'
Confirm order 'Next"
Confirm Shipping 'Next'
You should see the error here.
I have already supplied a screen print for you as proof. I get the error on two different browsers. My client gets the error. Her customers get the error. I have no idea why you do not get the error. It may have something to do with the last three posts I have made here.
I readily admit that it might just be a stupid mistake on my part but I need the help either way.

Hi,

I tried to reproduce the issue but I don't get the same behavior.
If I do what you say, I'm stopped at the shipping step telling me that the total is too lox for the shipping methods and thus the problem is with the settings of your shipping methods and the restrictions you put on them.
If I add the product a second time to the cart, I go above the shipping methods restriction limit and I can go to the next step, the payment step. And there, I do see all three payment methods.

So no, I definitely don't have the problem. Not on the computer at work, not on the computer at my place, not today, not last week.
And it's the same regardless of the browser.

Since the issue is apparently coming from the price restrictions in your shipping methods, try editing them and removing the price restrictions and it should work fine even with only one product in the cart.

And the fact that you see your payment methods only when you go in the menu System>Payment methods is normal. There is no reason to display payment methods when you go look in your hikashop plugins (plugins are different from payment methods). One payment plugin can have several payment methods and payment plugins (plugins of the group "hikashoppayment") are not hikashop plugins (plugins of the group "hikashop") which is why you don't see them when you go in the System>Plugins menu or in the plugins list of the configuration.
So nothing to worry about there. You issue comes from the way your shipping methods are configured as far as I can see.

Thank you once again for your help. In my defense almost every issue in this update stemmed from something not transferring from the old HikaShop version to the new one. On this latest payments issue, I reviewed the shipping setting on the old version and everything was set up correctly. Unfortunately in the update, only the 'free shipping' restriction carried over.

I really appreciate all your patience and help.
