Hi,
i just tried to set up a simple constrained field set for the user registration process.
So i have a radiobutton group for "are you a student" yes /no. This is mandantory. I f yes then a second radiobutton group is/should be shown shown "university name hda" yes/no. After user clicks yes several other fields and dropdowns should be shown. So i setup these constrains like explained in the documentation of fields but all fields are always shown. For my understanding the second radiobutton group should show if the user selects in the first radio button group "yes" and if he selects yes in the second group the other fields that are dependent to the second radio button group should be shown.
At the moment everything is shown right from the first moment.
You can try this on my devsite -> Login -> Register new account. For a better understanding i add some screenshots of the configuration.
Did i miss anything with constraining fields as it seems to be very simple?
Thanks for your help in advanced !

Hi,

Can you try to move the line:

$this->assignRef('user',$user);
after the line:
$fieldsClass->jsToggle($this->extraFields['user'],$user,0);

in the file components/com_hikashop/views/user/view.html.php and then try again ?

Hi,
ok tried this but it did not change anything.
So i moved it back as it was to not have any unwanted side effects. Will it help if you have ftp access? I have sent you my ftp data a view days ago when you fixed my pinterest nonumbers accordion problem. they are still valid. If you need them again i could sent them again.
Have a great day!

Hi,

I found the problem and added a patch on our end.
Download again the latest version on our end and install it on your website and that will fix the problem.

HI Nicolas, thanks for your effort!
If i do the update now will it overwrite the changes you did for my nonumbers social share component or the changes i did in the product view template or is it save to update ?
Do i have to update the whole package or just a certain module ?
Thanks again for your great support!

Hi,

The modifications for the social networks plugin will be overwritten. So make sure you backup the files in plugins/system/hikashopsocial and restore them after the install.
The views won't be lost.
You can update the whole package

Thanks again nicolas for the great support! Now it works well.
Last question will the hikasocial changes become part of the main distribution or do i have allways to keep these in a backup to put them back after an upgrade ?
Thanks in advance
Carsten
