I purchased and downloaded a zipped version of essentials v.26.1. How do I install it on my site from my local machine?

(I found a thread that was similar to my request but am unable to reply to it.)

Following the instructions begins the installation process but eventually I get the message attached.
I am trying to install the zip package

Later I unzipped the package into it's own folder and tried to install from the tab 'Install from folder' and got the 2nd message.

Unsure what to do next

Hi,

The first message indicates that your php.ini settings are two low. You can ask your hosting company to increase them and then it should work.
The second message indicates that either you didn't provide the correct folder for the install from folder process, or that you didn't upload all the files and folders of the install package in the folder that you specified (you need to extract the files on your local computer and then upload them to the tmp folder, if you upload the zip in the tmp folder, it won't work).

the hosting company has the default path as /home/admingba/public_html/tmp for the 'ínstall folder' tab.

Is that I should install the extracted files? Can I change the path?

You can upload the files there yes. You can change the folder as well, as long as Joomla can access the files in there it will work.

After a few adventures it appears that I have the Hikashop Essentials installed. I managed to download the zipped file to the necessary temp folder, unzipped, changed the path, crossed my fingers and voila! All done.

Many thanks.
