Export products from the fronend

-- Joomla version -- : 3.5
-- PHP version -- : 5.5.12

Hi,
We have a requirement that some privilege users can choose the products they want and export as .csv file from the frontend.
Is there existing function to do this ? or can you advise how to achieve this?

Hi,

There is no function like that in HikaShop.
I guess I would modify the file "listing" of the view "product" via the menu Display>Views and hijack the comparison system javascript code to output a CSV instead of sending the customer to the comparison page.

Hi,

Alternatively, and unless writing the code as per Nicolas' indication is a piece of cake for you, you could use Fabrik to get this done.

Fabrik is free, yet well maintained and very powerful, and comes with its own "learning curve" (but what doesn't...). So, while it's made for a different purpose and it could do a lot more as well, the task you're talking is not a difficult one.
