Dear support,
I am testing your shop as part of a Joomla Content Website. So its not in use as a standalone shop, its not the homepage of the site, but as an addon.

I can create a joomla content module, but that would be shown on every page of the Shop.

Ho to have e.g. a module with Text content visible ONLY on the Shop Start page?

You'll just have to restrict the displaying of the Joomla module to one of you Joomla menu by using options of the Joomla module configuration page.

There is only one menu link to the shop. Please take a look on my page. I'll send the link for security reasons in a private message.
I put in a test module with a shop logo. This shoul only be visible in the shop startpage/overview. As soon as you click on the category link and go to that category page (or the product page) the Logo should not be displayed any longer.

In that case a solution can be to directly use the "module anywhere" Joomla extension to control the displaying of your module :
extensions.joomla.org/extension/modules-anywhere
