Order - Different handling of images in emails

-- HikaShop version -- : 2.6.3
-- Joomla version -- : 3.6.2
-- PHP version -- : 5.6.24

Hello

- I ordered one product in our e-shop and the plugin automatically added one another product. OK (1-Shoping-Cart.jpg)

- In order confirmation email "normal product" image is suppressed by Outlook and I may download it... OK
For the automatically added product image appear directly! DIFFERENT (2-Order-Confirmation-Email.jpg). E-mail header image my also be downloaded.

- Then I go to HikaShop Administration / Orders and change the status (3-Order-Status-Changed.jpg) . Confirmation email product images have the same behavior as described above. NEW: The email header image is missing and can not be downloaded as usual (4-Order-Status-Changed-Email.jpg)

Hi,

This looks like a problem with your outlook.
Images are all added the same way to emails, based on how you configured the "embed images" setting of the emails section of the HikaShop configuration.

You might want to unblock automatically all the images downloads for the emails comginf rom your website:
support.office.com/en-us/article/Block-o...b1-9a0a-50b81f2d617a

Thank you for your answer...

Outlook may not be the cause, how he may "know" what are images from "normal" and what are images from automatically added products. The same behavior we have in Web-mail. Probably you must read the problem description again.

The link you gave shows how we may generally manipulate "Show images".

We can see in your screenshots :

To protect your privacy, remote images are blocked in this message *display images*

And in the second one, the order icon is not visible either. But regarding the warning message, that is not a surprise because we know that remote images are blocked.
So I don't know how the blocking is made exactly but I don't have the feeling that your problem is coming from HikaShop.

The problem is not if the remote images are blocked or not. The problem is that the remote images from "normal" product are blocked and remote images from automatically generated products are not blocked. It's visual very annoying!

And the same problem appear in Outlook and in the Webmail. It must be one problem from HikaShop.

In hikashop.com/forum/install-update/886005...art-and-invoice.html we have also unexpected behavior between "normal" and automatically generated products.

Hi,

So take a look at the email content in order to understand what the URL for the images are.
I have the feeling that your issue is related to some customization in your side ; so we do not have any knowledge of what has been done, etc.

Please try to see our point of view where we do not have any information.
Our support works with official HikaShop packages, if you have custom plugin or custom code ; you have to give us the required elements otherwise we won't be able to provide any useful help.

Hello

OK, I saved email and opened it in Notepad ++. Then change the coding and what I may see:

1. Images from "normal" products appear as link and Outlook offer the possibility to download those. OK
2. Images from automatically added products are embedded and the immediately visible without download.

Please see attached file.

Any Idea?
