i have multi question for hikashop

I've seen HikaShop use on websites with a lot of products. A few millions. So it's possible.
For the categories I don't think that it will work if you want to have a million categories, but then, that's a lot of categories. I doubt anyone would have more than a few thousands categories no ?
We didn't had yet any feedback on problems for the amount of comments or votes. I don't think it should be much of a problem though.
Some features might get degraded or you won't be abler to use them with millions of products. For example, if your products have characteristics, you'll have one variant for each combination of characteristic values. And the variants are also stored in the product table. So If you have a hundred variants for each product and you want millions of products, that means hundreds of millions of entries in the product table. And MySQL servers aren't meant to handle that much entries and the MySQL queries in HikaShop will take too much time to load the data in such cases.
Another example is the filtering system of listings. With millions of products, some of the complex queries of the filters (based on how you configure them) will take too much time and you won't be able to use them.
So in short, it depends on how you configure your shop. It's possible but some features might not be usable.

I've seen shops done with HikaShop with millions of products, but I've never seen so far similar shops done with VirtueMart.
When I first developed HikaShop, I remember that VirtueMart couldn't handle more than a few tens of thousands of products without complex hacking of the files. I don't know where they stand now.
Also remember that this article dates from 3 years ago, and it's only the point of view from the person who wrote it. I doubt that they really tried to make a shop with millions of products with each ecommerce solution they featured.
So I would of course say that HikaShop works fine for large shops too. But don't believe me, just try having millions of products on all the ecommerce solutions you want to use, and you'll see which one fares better
