Hello I have doubt
I assign the module cart to all item menu of my website except the home page.
Now if a reach a product by the main menu, the module cart appears properly, but if I reach the product by the product presents in the other module in the web site the module cart doesn't appear.
I know it is normal for joomla but there is a solution for that??

Thanks Frank

Hi,

Yes. In the "other module" settings, you'll find an option "menu" where you can select the destination menu item when you click on a link of that module. So select a HikaShop menu item of your main menu in that setting and that will do what you want.

You need to edit your module via the Joomla modules manager. There, under the "products options" tab, you'll find a "menu" option.
In that setting, you need to select your HikaShop menu item which is located in your main menu.

I think it is very simple but something escapes me:blush:
Example..If I open the module cart There is not the "Product Otion" So I cant see the menu under that.
I attach an image to be sure that i am in the right place

Thanks FRank

Hello Frank,

If you want to control the displaying of your cart module, you'll have to use the "Menu Assignment" option.
So if you want your cart module to be displayed through your "products by the main menu" then you'll have to directly edit your product listing content module and use the "menu" option to set a menu in it where your cart module is supposed to be displayed.

Hello
I think there is a misunderstanding about what I want to do couse i really dont find what you both say.
If you go to this page www.redskull.it and click on the first category in the module that shows the category (the category name is Inchiostri), you will see that the module cart doesn't appear.
Instead if you click on any item of the main menu the module cart is visible.
Now we are talking about the same things or not?? :silly:

Thanks

Hi,

You need to edit your module that is on your home page, not your cart module.
In the module of your home page, under the "hikashop options" tab, you'll see that "menu" setting that I was talking about.

Hi,

When you click on a link of a menu item, you stay on the same menu item.
So if you don't display a module on a menu item, it won't display on all the pages of that menu item.
So if you want to have the cart when you click on the links of the menu item you use on the home page, you need to display the cart on the homepage.
There is however a trick to that.
Instead of using a menu item displaying your listing of categories on the homepage, you can instead use a menu item displaying a Joomla article and then create a categories listing module of the type HikaShop content module and assign it to that menu item.
Then, in the "menu" setting of that categories listing module, you can select another menu item of the type HikaShop categories listing where the cart is set to display and you'll get the same display on the homepage, but when you click on a link of the listing, you'll get to see the cart module.

OK now i Understand what you mean.
I was testing this solution but i have a problem after clicking the last subcategory.
I created a HikaShop Content Module and set show the category, but when I browse the subcategory and i reach the last category after cliking on that it doesn't display any product

Thanks

Hi,

Then there must be a problem with the settings under the "products options" tab of the menu item that you selected in the "menu" setting of your HikaShop content module.
Could you provide a screenshot of that ?

Hi,

So in that module, you selected the menu item "Nessuno". And I said that I need a screenshot of the "products options" tab of that menu item. So please edit it via the Joomla menu manager and provide a screenshot from there.

Hey Nicolas it seems working now..and thank you for your big patience :)
Just a little problem, I selected in the menu option in module settings an item of my menu that showes categories, now when I chose a category from Home page the breadcumbs path shows Home>Categories listing >Inchiostri Instead of Home>Inchiostri.
There is a solution for that?

Thanks

Hi,

Joomla doesn't have the possibility to not have the menu item alias in the breacrumb unless it's the homepage.
So an alternative would be to revert to what you had before with a menu item of categories listing on the homepage, and use the extension Advanced Modules Manager to have more fine grained options to display your modules where you want on the pages of the homepage menu item.
