Reservation and date for delivery

I just installed the Business edition and want to create the option for customers to make a reservation for products and to enter a delivery date. Additionally the customer should receive a confirmation.
The "Speel-o-theek" (Play-o-library) lends special toys out to the disabled which can be delivered on demand.
According to the information I got this should be possible with the Business edition only.
However I studied the Help and Documentation and the forum, but could not find how to do this.
I found a button for a waiting list, but not how to manage the process.
Please can you give me more information?

Hi,

If you want to add a date selection for the orders during the checkout process, you can create a custom field of the table "order" and of the type "advanced date picker" via the menu Display>Custom fields.
The date selected by the customer will then be stored automatically with the order and you'll be able to see it in the email notifications and when you edit the order.

I managed to create a custom field for comment and reservation date but this information does not appear in the notification to the customer (order_creation_notification) and the notification to the admin (order_admin_notification).
These fields are optional and the message to the customer and admin should contain these options only when they are used. This requires differentiation in the text.
How to do?

Edit your custom fields and make sure that the email display settings are turned on.

Thanks again, but I solved it already as I stated before.
However is there an option to send the customer a dedicated mail in case of reservation instead of a general message for an order?

You could use the "email" button when you edit an order in the backend, in order to send a dedicated email to the customer.
