[SOLVED] Error when opening empty cart

-- HikaShop version -- : 3.0.0
-- Joomla version -- : 3.6.6
-- PHP version -- : 5.6
-- Error-message(debug-mod must be tuned on) -- : Call to a member function get() on a non-object

If a new customer tries to look at their cart before adding any products an error is thrown:

'Call to a member function get() on a non-object'
administrator/components/com_hikashop/helpers/checkout.php line 302:

        $this->redirect_url = $this->config->get('redirect_url_when_cart_is_empty', '');

Once the cart has been used (add a product then delete it) the error in no longer displayed.

Hi Jerome

Thanks for the prompt reply. The patch has stopped the previous error but now I just get a blank page and looking at the log file the server is returning a 500 error.

Morning Jerome

I think I was looking at the wrong line in the log file last night. I have just tried again and still get a blank page but no error listed in the error log and the access log shows:

xxxx- - [24/Jan/2017:09:13:10 +0000] "GET /shopping-cart HTTP/1.1" 200 304
Same results with Chrome and FF.

**UPDATE** If I log in as a customer and go to the User control panel and click on the 'Carts' button I get the following error:
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ''showcart'' (T_CONSTANT_ENCAPSED_STRING), expecting ')' in /var/www/vhosts/philippaburnard.com/httpdocs/components/com_hikashop/controllers/cart.php on line 15

Hi,

1 - You're right, that is the "access log" of your server ; that's not the PHP error log.
