apply discount to a single variant

Hello I wonder if it is possible apply a discount to a single variant of a product.
I found this post:

But it had been written 4 years ago, so it is changed the situation with hikashop business 2.64??

There is actually no option to do it but you can set a temporary special price for a specific variant of your product.

With " temporary special price" you mean change the price of a single variant temporary...rght?
