insert option to describe on newsletter

Hi,

I would like to know how I can add a module/ menu where customers can subscribe to a newsletter.
Just an easy field where they can enter their email address and submit.
(I've tried via custom fields to search for the "entry" table but I cannot see this anywhere)

Could you assist me please?
