-- HikaShop version -- : 3.2.2
-- Joomla version -- : 3.8.3
-- PHP version -- : 5.5.38

Hello,
There is a problem with coupon calculation.
Apply discounts is set to before taxes.
The coupon is calculated good but on the total sum the discounted amount is still taxed.
If I switch from coupon to discount, it seems to be working well but going back to coupon it is the same problem!

On the pic below the tax is DE 19%.
Coupon value 10%.

Hi,
I have the same problem wit 3.4.1

Looks discount calculates taxes correct, but coupon doesn't.

I attached 4 screen shots to show the problem.

Hope you can help, because I just corrected over 100 invoices...
Thanks
Roger

Hi,

I see that you selected the "Electronic goods and services" tax category in your coupon. Did you configure tax rules for that tax category ?
Also, you might want to try switching the "apply coupon" setting of the HikaShop configuration. Based on that setting, HikaShop will either used the taxed or the untaxed amount for the percentage value calculation.

Hi Nicolas,
yes, the whole shop works with the tax category 'Electronic goods & services'. I tried the coupon code with other settings as well and also tried the settings in 'apply coupon'. The result was always wrong, but only when using a coupon code.
Please help.
Roger

Hi,

Ok, so for us to reproduce the issue, could you provide a screenshot of all the settings of that 10% coupon, and a screenshot of the settings of that "D TAX" tax rate ?

Hi Nicolas,
here is a screen shot of the coupon code. Where can I find the "D TAX" tax rate? I don't have it.
Thanks
Roger

Hi,

Go in the menu System>Taxes, edit your tax rule and provide a screenshot of the settings there.

OK, I use the taxes for 'Electronic goods and services'. There are plenty. Here is one:

Hi,

Could you try activating the "automatic taxes" setting of the coupon and if that doesn't help, also change the "apply coupon" (or "apply discount" if you are still on HikaShop 3.4.1) ?

Hi Nicolas,
sorry for the slow response...

I tried with the suggested changes, but still no correct TAX value when the coupon code is applied.

Any other idea?
Thanks
Roger

Hi,

I don't see why that wouldn't work.
Please provide:
- a backend access so that we can check your settings
- a set of precise instructions we can use to reproduce the issue on your website
- a FTP access so that we can debug if necessary
- a link to this thread for reference
through our contact form so that we can look deeper into it:

Hi,

The issue is with the "floating tax prices" option which causes some issue with the tax calculations for coupons.
I've added a patch on our end for that.
Download again the install package on our website and install it on yours to get the patch and it should then display a correct tax amount even with a coupon added.
Note that I see that you're using the old checkout system of HikaShop 2.x. I would recommend switching to the new checkout system which is much better. You can do that by turning off the "checkout legacy" setting of the HikaShop configuration.

I have the exact same problem. When will we get this in a official update ? I can't install the complete package, I get the error message that the package is too big (max 2M).

Hi,

When you run the update process via the Joomla updater, it downloads the install package on our website and installs it.
So it's the exact same as downloading it via the menu My account>My subscriptions yourself and installing it manually.
I would recommend increasing the max upload limit of your php.ini to be able to do that.
If you can't, you can also download the install package on your local computer and extract it there. Then, upload all the files and folders of the extracted package to the tmp folder of your Joomla and run the install from that folder via the Joomla installer and that way, you'll circumvent the upload restriction of your hosting.
The next release is scheduled for this week or next week.

OK, I've found out how to change the max upload size and installed the latest version from my download section on your website.
But unfortunately the same problem exists, the coupon doesn't count any tax. I've tried automatic, manual tax, electronic good and default tax. None does count the tax to it.
Other advise ?

Hi,

Hard to give any guidance without precise details.
Please provide:
- a screenshot of the settings of the coupon
- a link to the shop
- precise instructions to reproduce the problem
- a screenshot of the menu System>Taxes
That will enable us to assess the situation.

The coupon code is : CorrecteKortingbon

The link to the product is: www.zappi.info/en/shop/products/product/1-zappi

Once you have selected the product and then activate the coupon code in the checkout, you see that the amount is only decreased by 41,32 and not 50 euro. Also there is no decrease of the VAT.

See attached screenshots as you've asked for.
