PLEASE HELP Shop Not Working Anymore For Downloads

-- Joomla version -- : 3.95
-- PHP version -- : 7.2.20
-- Browser(s) name and version -- : Chrome Latest
-- Error-message(debug-mod must be tuned on) -- : 0 Call to undefined method stdClass::getListFooter()

hi Everyone I have been putting this off for a long time but I need it resolved. If I put and item in my cart, checkout and then pay for it the product download page does not work anymore I get an error like you see in the attachment.

I have no idea how to fix this.

Hi,

Please activate the "debug mode" and "error reporting" settings of your Joomla configuration and access that page again.
It should display an error message with more information on the issue which will allow us to tell you what to do.

I just tested it on my end and wasn't able to reproduce it, can you send us a temporary back-end and FTP access to your website, so that we can directly test it on your website ? Thank you.

You need to create an account and then activate your account and then go back to the site while you are logged in and then click on the MY DOWNLOAD AREA link. You will then see the problem.

I have turned off the error reporting. Would you like me to leave it on? I will also send you admin access using the form.

Thank you for that Mohamed. The page is now showing HOWEVER when I create a order and change the status to confirmed via the hikashop order admin section then go back to the MY DOWNLOADS page on the front end of the site the download is NOT listed there.

Can you please investigate.

Before I test it again, Can you download the last Hikashop version through our website, install it and test it again ? Thank you.

Hello,

Your issue was coming from the fact that the download space is only available through commercial versions of Hikashop. The last Hikashop package that you can download through our website will fix that issue.

Alright I updated to the lates version of starter from your website now the download page is not working again:

Please make that a permenent fix so when I update things it does not break that page every time.

That was actually a mistake as the check regarding Hikashop edition in use wasn't added until the beginning à 2018.

So you actually used it for free until you updated your Hikashop version.

Please make that a permenent fix so when I update things it does not break that page every time.


It actually broke because you have created a menu to the download area which shouldn't be available for starter edition, so upgrading your Hikashop version will fix that issue.

Mohamed, Im not sure I understand your response. Do I need to BUY essential version or not? It clearly shows on your website that the starter version that I am using supports downloads. See attachment below:



Please advise, I am loosing business because of this problem and orders are piling up with angry customers.

Hello,

By using HikaShop starter, you do have the "product files" and your customers CAN downloads the files via the orders.
If they open the order details in the front-end or open the notification emails they received, the download links will be available.

Now, when you're talking about the "download listing" page ; it is another feature which is only provide by commercial edition of HikaShop.
You will find another thread, from about two years ago, which is talking about the same exact issue for a "getListFooter" bug on the download listing which is not available in HikaShop starter :

Once again, HikaShop starter do provide download features, but only via the order details and notification emails.
For "free files", they are also available in the product page, for every edition of HikaShop.
