Shipping options not updating according to country

Hello Jacob,

There's actually no option to dynamically update the shipping method based on the country field of the registration form.
The only solution will be to :
- edit your checkout workflow via "Hikashop->System->Configuration->Checkout" and have the login and the shipping actions in different steps.
Or
- add some custom code to create that feature.

I know the feature is not present, but I was asking if this could be considered in a future update.
I will add it on a post in the correct thread

Well, we could but then there would be some other things to consider... Why refresh for the country only ? It would have to be refreshed for each and every field of the shipping address since shipping methods can based themselves of other information of the shipping address to calculate shipping.
We could consider it in the future.

I guess I have same issue and it's very annoying.

We let people order without registering on the site. When they go to the shopping card and they change the shipping adress to f.e. country outside the EU the shipping is changed. But when they change their adress back to EU (or other zone , f.e. USA) the shipping is not changed anymore and stayes on the initial selected shipping. The shipping is configured auto, so they can't choose an option. Because there are also free options and we don't wnat them to choose that by hand.

Hello,

We actually still have that feature in our todo list for the moment.

A quick fix could be to have the "Login" in a different step than "Address" and "Shipping" through your checkout workflow via "Hikashop->System->Configuration->Checkout".
