Download sale limit?

-- Browser(s) name and version -- : safari

Hi, I am putting my first Hikashop together. I had a look through posts but couldn't see any similar Qs, but apologies if its a common Q. I have a couple of large zip files I sell and was wondering if there are any size limitations/restrictions within Hikashop that I need to know about? (I am right that I can sell digital products with Hikashop?)

Hi,

Yes, you can sell digital products with HikaShop.
HikaShop doesn't have any size limitations.
We have merchants selling files that are several GB with HikaShop.
The main issue is that the upload size of files via the interfaces is limited by how your php.ini is configured on your server.
But it's always possible to circumvent this by uploading the files via FTP to the media/com_hikashop/upload/safe/ folder and then you can just enter their filename in the popup of the "+" button of the Files area when editing / creating your products.
