Hi Nicolas,
I have a question regarding a setup we’re planning to launch after the summer, and I’d appreciate your advice on the best way to configure it in HikaShop.
For some of our products, we would like to offer customers the option to purchase personalized labels.
Here’s an example:
Imagine a product page for square cake boxes. On that page, some variants are sold in packs of 25 units, and others in packs of 50 units.
My question is:
If I use options to offer the labels, is it possible to show something like this?
No labels
Labels (with a specific price if the customer selected a 25-unit pack)
Labels (with a different price if they selected the 50-unit pack)
In other words, can the price of the label option change depending on the selected pack size?
If this is not possible using options, could you suggest an alternative way to achieve this kind of setup?
Thank you very much for your help!

Hi,

An option's choices / prices cannot change based on the selected variant of the main product.
You also can't have different options for different variants of the main product.

I see 2 main solutions:
- You could actually not have variants and just a yes / no option (product without variants added to the main product as an option). Instead of variants to select the pack, you could just have several prices in your product with different "minimum quantity" for each price. Then, select the "show select price" option of the "input method" setting of your product. This way, the quantity input field will be displayed as a dropdown and each value of the dropdown will correspond to the minimum quantity configured in a price of the product.
And in the option product, you can also configure different prices with different minimum quantities. This way, the price used for the option will also be based on the quantity selected.

- Another option is to use custom item fields. Combined with the price calculations plugin ( www.hikashop.com/marketplace/product/148...ce-calculations.html ), you can have the total price of the product calculated automatically based on conditions and formulas that you configure yourself, so you have a wide range of capabilities as it is quite flexible.

Hi Nicolas.
I've been looking at the plugin you recommend: www.hikashop.com/marketplace/product/148...ce-calculations.html
Is there more information about this plugin than what appears on the page itself?

When I purchase the plugin, can I install and test it on a domain we have for testing?

Hi Nicolas,

I’ve already purchased the plugin, and I believe I can achieve what I need using custom fields (some of them hidden).
To make it perfect, I’d like to know if there is any way to create conditional custom fields.

For example:
In one custom field I’ve created two options (Yes and No). The value “Yes” is already being used in the plugin formula.
Now, when the customer selects “Yes”, I’d like another dropdown (with four possible options) to appear.

Is that possible within the HikaShop custom field system?

Thanks in advance!

Hi Nicolas,
I've already managed to get what I needed. It's true that I used AI to help configure the plugin, but I have to congratulate you because the plugin is fantastic — it opens up a world of possibilities with the conditions we want to apply.
Without "cluttering" the product page, I was able to offer our customers a new option that’s very attractive and works perfectly.

My sincere congratulations on this great plugin!
