Hi, I may have to choose a Payment Provider that you don't have an API for. Would you create a plug-in for them if we paid? If so what would your availability be and rough costs.

We are speaking to some payment providers at the moment so don't currently know who we would use just yet.

Thanks
Paul.

Hi,

While we can do that, and we did in the past, our schedule is quite packed at the moment.
Payment plugins are things that can "easily" (I mean the plugin itself is self-contained and it doesn't require modifying HikaShop or contacting us, and we provide documentation for developers for that, not that it can be done by ChatGPT in 2 minutes. It still requires properly development by a human who knows what he is doing) be developed by third party developers.
Hence, I would recommend contacting third party developers. Ideally, ones who already made payment plugins for HikaShop. That way, you know they have the capability to do it.
For example:
tsukidev.com/contact/ ( available on our marketplace )
skyspider.com.au/store
www.brainforge.co.uk/shop/product-tags/plugin-hikashop-payment
rolandd.com/products/ro-payments/features
norrnext.com/ecommerce/hikashop
www.platiti.cz/en/HikaShop

Regarding the cost, it depends on the API provided by the payment gateway and the situation of each developer. I would say that the minimum is a couple hundred euros, and it can go up to thousands of the euros for complex implementations. Some implementations, where the customer is redirected to the payment gateway for the payment and then back to the website are usually easier to implement and thus less costly to develop.
Now, some might be willing to make it cheaper for you by spreading the cost. I'm thinking about rolandd for example. They sell a component which supports a wide range of Joomla ecommerce solutions and several payment gateways. Adding an extra payment gateway to the component, if you request it, might be worth it for them to do while keeping the cost to you low as they might be able to more easily recoup the total development costs in the long term...
