-- HikaShop version -- : 6.1.1
-- Joomla version -- : 6.01
-- PHP version -- : 8.3
-- Browser(s) name and version -- : Chrome,ie,firefox
-- Error-message(debug-mod must be tuned on) -- : None shown

I set up a new preproduction environment and have an issue when attempting to define\setup a new site module

System >> SIte Modules >> Click the Joomla "New+" button >> then select the entry for "Hikashop content module"

the page displays as shown in the attachment.

Other Hikashop modules (And the non hikashop modules that are present do present a validly formatted page.

I have turned error reporting on (maximum) but nothing jumped out. - I have also switched template styles and then reverted back to the default Atum. And of course removed Hikashop install and reinstalled - cleared cache etc

Any suggestions on what to look at in troubleshooting this?

Many thanks

Hi,

The screenshot indicates that the CSS from HikaShop is missing.
I could be that you had a PHP fatal error during the generation of the page, preventing Joomla from adding the CSS files to the page.
Normally, you should be able to see a "fatal error" message at the bottom of the page.
Do you see any ?
Also, you can activate the "debug system" setting of the Joomla configuration and try again. This might help displaying the error message at the bottom of the page. So please try it.
Once we know the error message, we'll be able to tell you what to do.

Hi,

Maybe the server is configured to force not to display error messages. The error should be logged in the PHP error log file of the server. So you can check in there (you might need to ask your hosting provider support how to access it if you don't know how or if you don't have access to it).
Also, in the past few days, I actually made a patch to fix a fatal error in some rare cases with the modules edit page. Without the error message it's possible your problem is different, but there is a possibility it is the same issue. So download again the install package of the 6.1.1 on our website and install it on yours. It will add the patch. It might fix the problem.
Otherwise, maybe it would be possible to figure out something if I could look directly at the problematic page. So, if the patch doesn't work, please provide a backend access and instructions to reproduce the problem via our contact form and I can look into it.

Hello Nicolas

I downloaded and installed the update - but the issue remained.

on checking the php error log I have this warning which is triggered\added to the log on each attempt to create the new module entry

[16-Dec-2025 20:34:49 Australia/Sydney] PHP Warning: Undefined array key "limit" in /home/handmade/preprod.lmc-workshop.au/administrator/components/com_hikashop/views/modules/tmpl/options_display_div.php on line 53

Hi,

Thanks for the feedback. While this warning is nice to know so that we can modify a bit the code in the next version of HikaShop so that it we can remove it, this won't cause the problem you have.
We'll need you to provide a backend access and instructions to reproduce the problem via our contact form so that I can look into it. I might even need a FTP access in order to do some debugging.

Hi,

We've found the issue and made a patch for it on your dev website. For others with the same issue:
Download the install package of HikaShop on our website and install it on yours and you'll get the patch.

I have the exact same issue. All modules for Hika that seem to reply on product layout.
Cart module and filter modules are fine.
Redownloading V 6.1.1 as of today's date resolved the issue. Thank you Nicolas.
